Pit Lane. Slipstream. Redline. Pole Position. Night Shift. Off Duty. The names are not decoration. They are the shorthand of a place where waiting and speed sit beside each other, and where nobody has time for a long word.
We came out of automotive manufacturing. Timing, tooling, tolerance — that was the vocabulary we had, so it is the vocabulary the clothes ended up in.
A name should tell you when a piece is for. Pit Lane is the working and the waiting. Slipstream is the long stretch where the effort drops away. Pole Position is the moment before. Night Shift is the drive home. Off Duty is what happens after. Terrain Drive is the road that stopped being paved.
We used to name collections after the sun. Those have done their work. What replaced them is less a theme than a habit — name a piece after the hour it belongs to, and it stops being activewear and starts being clothing.
Each Edition is made in one run, with a few extra pieces of each. The names do not come back either.
